All Vault Types in Monopoly GO & What They Offer

Vaults are essentially special reward boxes that you can open by exchanging a certain number of Stars.

Monopoly GO takes a simple board game and turns it into an exciting, ever-evolving mobile experience. While the core mechanic of rolling dice and moving around a familiar Monopoly board remains, there are a ton of new features, like building and upgrading landmarks, participating in competitive events and tournaments, and collecting unique stickers to complete themed albums.

As you collect more stickers, you'll often accumulate duplicates—stickers you already own. These extra stickers, instead of just sitting there uselessly, contribute to a currency, called Stars, that you can use to purchase Vaults in Monopoly GO.

Vaults are essentially special reward boxes that you can open by exchanging a certain number of Stars. They’re a fun way to get valuable rewards, including dice rolls, cash, and rare sticker packs to help you complete sets.

You can find the Vaults within the "Albums" tab at the bottom of the homepage. Look for a small vault or safe icon, usually in the bottom right corner of the screen. Clicking on it will take you to the “Sticker For Rewards” page.

On this page, you'll see your current total of "Sticker Stars" displayed prominently at the top. Below your star count, you'll find the available Vaults. You can then choose which vault to open, keeping in mind that you can usually only open a vault once per day, and your accumulated stars will be deducted accordingly.

There are three different types of Vaults in Monopoly GO. Each one needs a different number of stars to open. The more stars a vault requires, the better the rewards inside. This means that as you collect more stars, you can unlock vaults with bigger and more exciting prizes.

Here are all the currently available vaults, the number of stars required to open them, and a preview of the rewards they offer.

Orange Vault - 250 Stars - 250 Dice
Blue Vault - 450 Stars - 350 Dice, Pink Sticker Pack, Blue Sticker Pack
Gold Vault - 700 Stars - 500 Dice, Blue Sticker Pack, Purple Sticker Pack,  Swap Pack

Opening vaults during a Sticker Boom in Monopoly GO event can be highly beneficial, as you receive more stickers from the packs within the vault.

There isn’t really a quick way to get more stars in Monopoly GO. Stars are accumulated when you get duplicate stickers. The higher the star rating of the duplicate sticker, the more stars it contributes to your total. For example, a 1-star duplicate gives 1 star, a 3-star duplicate gives 3 stars, and a 5-star duplicate gives 5 stars. As such, the only way to boost your Star count is to collect more Sticker Packs. This way, you can get more Monopoly GO stickers and thus, more duplicates.

Here are all the activities that reward sticker packs:

Daily Quick Wins: Always complete your daily Quick Wins tasks. They consistently offer sticker packs, including a Purple Pack at the end of the week.
Events and Tournaments: Actively participate in ongoing events and tournaments. These are your best source of premium sticker packs, especially those that reward blue and purple packs (which can contain 4- and 5-star stickers, increasing your chance of higher-star duplicates).
Community Chest: While random, the Community Chest can sometimes reward sticker packs.
Free Gifts in Shop: Check the shop regularly for any free gifts, which occasionally include sticker packs.
Minigames: As you complete minigames in Monopoly GO, like Partner Events, Dig Events, or Tycoon Racers, and/or hit milestones within them, you’ll win a bunch of sticker packs.

Gold stickers are worth double their usual star value when obtained as duplicates. This means a duplicate 4-star Gold sticker contributes 8 Stars, and a 5-star Gold sticker contributes 10 Stars. Don’t be sad if you’re getting a lot of Gold duplicates, as you’re only getting more Stars for your Vaults.

At the end of every Sticker Album season in Monopoly GO, all your progress, including your accumulated Stars, undergoes a reset. You'll start a brand new album season from scratch with new themes and new stickers to collect. This means that any duplicate stickers you currently hold are removed from your inventory.

Now, any Stars you have accumulated but have not used to open a Vault will be automatically converted into dice rolls. There's a maximum cap on how many dice rolls you can receive from this conversion, usually around 700 Stars converting to 750 dice rolls, with any excess stars beyond that cap being lost.

Given that your Stars don't carry over directly to the next album season, it's generally highly recommended to spend your Stars on Vaults before the current album ends. The rewards you get from opening a vault are more valuable than the dice rolls you'd receive from the automatic conversion of leftover Stars.
